Jason and I woke up with a start at 3:30 this morning. It sounded like meteor had crash landed in our backyard. Our back door had blown open as lightning crashed outside. Our dogs I should state HATE thunder. They are big dogs, which makes them big wienies about storms. I don’t mind thunderstorms. They don’t usually scare me. This one scared me. Jason got on the Internet to be sure that we weren’t in for something worse (like a tornado). Then the hail came. It sounded like our windows were breaking and raining in. Jason went out and collected some of it…it was nickel size. Not huge by Texas standards, but big enough. It wasn’t long until Austin and Brodie came downstairs. Brodie is TERRIFIED of storms of any kind. We sent Austin back to bed once we reassured him that the worst was over. I knew better than to tell Brodie to go back to bed, so I just made him a bed on the couch. Chase and Evan never stirred. Luckily, there doesn’t seem to be any damage to any of our belongings. But I sure could use a nap!

Oh, man! I’m glad it wasn’t too bad. We had a storm like that over the summer.
It woke me up too!! Scared the crap out of me until I realized what it was. Glad you guys didn’t blow away….neither of my kiddos heard a THING!!
WE missed this line of storms. Glad you all didn’t get any damage. We had softball sized hail here a few years ago – we get a lot of hail. Take care – Kellan
Hi there! Thanks for the sweet comment on my jewelry. One of the best places I’ve found for ideas and resources is the discussion forum that is related to the magazine “Bead Style.” Lots of posts and lots of people on there with great ideas. http://cs.beadstylemag.com/bdscs/forums/
Also, the best place in our area for buying beads is Bally Bead in Rockwall. You have to have a tax i.d. to shop there (wholesale) but it is truly the best bead resource.
