Possum Kingdom…OR…What I did this weekend..

Posted on

We took a spontaneous trip to Possum Kingdom. Jason’s company owns a 5000 acre ranch down there, so we went and stayed in one of the campers on the property. When I say spontaneous I do mean VERY spontaneous. Jason looked at me at 4:15pm on Saturday and asked if I wanted to go down there. We were on the road at 6:00pm. We keep things interesting.

I bring you…what to do while out in the middle of no where:

Walk around looking for things that can bite you…totally ignoring the deer behind you (target not real)

Try to eat rocks before your mom sees you

Throw rocks into the Lake. See who can make the bigger splash:
Brodie Rock

Take a ride with your dad..looking serious as though you are not having a good time and then scream when you are taken out.
Riding with Daddy

Invite your brothers along for the ride.
Boys Jeep

Check out the creepy old cemetery that is in the freaking middle of NO WHERE!
Cemetary

Hang on Dad like a monkey child.

Look for something to shoot.

Find flowers for your mom instead.

And when Mom says, “Go entertain yourself” do so quickly…

  3. The old cemetery would interest me more than all the other scenery – I have already gone on line and checked it out. There are lots of these old cemeteries around Graham…surprised me. Great pictures of the kids – looks like ya’ll had a great time…what a fun weekend.

  5. What an amazing time. I think it’s so important to let boys roam in wilderness. It’s good for their soul.
