Our dogs turn into complete goofs when you break out the tennis balls. Not to mention, they don’t look where they are going all that well.

Goofs…
Learning Experience …
I did my first paying photo gig on Saturday. I think overall I did a pretty good job for someone who has no clue what she is doing. The post processing has been where I am gaining the most experience. I went through and made the best of all of the pictures look great. The lady approved them, we tweaked them a little. I went to put in the order and realized that some of the sizes she wants will crop off some of the picture in processing. So I have to go back and fix those. Mental note: crop all pictures in multiple sizes based on order size.
I have also learned some other tiny details that will make my life easier in the future. It is a baby step into doing something that is exciting for me. Baby steps are good.
By the way, she ordered many more pictures than I thought she would. I was truly excited!!!
Not That Interesting…
I know I haven’t been the best at posting lately. Honestly, I just don’t have anything real interesting to say right now. So you get boring things in bullet post format! YAY for you!
- Chase is starting to miss his big brothers. He is being a little a lot ornery.
- I am missing them too.
- I had great plans for all the things I wanted to get done this weekend. None of which got done. Jason and I just couldn’t get our energy up this weekend.
- Jason now has a cold. He is sleeping it off with Evan right now.
- I did some family portraits for a lady I know from bible study on Saturday. I was REALLY nervous until she saw them and proclaimed she liked them.
- I have been thinking lately about how weird my memory can be. I don’t often remember details that most people do. I do, however, remember exactly the hat and clothes my husband had on when I met him.
- I also remember we talked a lot about music….
- If I don’t get the downstairs cleaned up today I might just go crazy.
Aren’t you glad that I have no problem boring you all to death?
Back Home…
So I am a day late with my update. Yesterday it was all I could to just get a few things done around the house.
Last week the four boys and I headed up to Lubbock to visit with family for the week. Austin left for the weekend with my mother in law for church camp (that is why I don’t have many pictures of him from the visit). We got to spend a lot of time with my nephew, Cason. He and Chase are close in age and I fear will get each other in LOTS of trouble in the coming years. Austin and Brodie are staying in Lubbock for a while. The plan is for them to stay until we head on vacation next month, but if they get homesick (which happened last year) then they will come home early.
Here are a few pictures from our trip:

Out of Town…
I just realized I forgot to post that I would be out of town for a week. The week is up in two days. OOPS.
I will have pictures and a post up on Thursday!
Lessons…
I have learned a lot of things since becoming a mom to boys.
For instance, did you know that string cheese can be used as a crayon on a black refrigerator door?
Bugs can live a really long time in a jar.
The Sanitize cycle on my washer is the best thing ever invented.
There are more than 10 ways to make a mom gag.
Gameboys can be played after bedtime without mom detection if you close your bedroom door and turn off the sound…at least for a while.
Avoiding the word “nuts” is usually a good idea when out in public.
Legos can cut open your foot if you step on it in the dark.
Gas is a way of life.
And that was all before lunch…
Ahhhhh…boys.
