I didn’t tell this story yesterday because I was still steaming….I am better now.
Wednesday night as I left my gym to get in my car I found out that someone had punched my lock out on the driver’s door and tried to break in. My brilliant hubby was able to repair all damage. All the damage except for the damage to my brain. This has REALLY REALLY bothered me. We are lucky that nothing was taken (there was really nothing to take) and that the suburban was not taken. However, this has left me feeling incredibly violated. There is something about personal property being messed with that has just done me in. We live in a pretty safe area and I admit I have a cushy life.
Probably what bothers me most is that I don’t understand the drive to take what isn’t yours. I don’t understand why people have no problem destroying other people’s things. I jsut don’t get it. And it makes me feel uneasy knowing that someone I don’t know might have been in my car looking through my things. That they were touching my kids’ toys and car seats and that they busted into MY CAR.
It is still very irritating to me.
