Our weekend…

Fall Walk
We had a pretty laid back weekend.  I have been trying to get through our mountains of laundry since we are leaving town this week.  Yesterday we went and looked at some houses.  Today we went to the park, looked at more houses and then I took Austin and Brodie to make mosaic Christmas ornaments.

Beth Moore has mentioned in several of her bible studies that she always carries around note cards with verses that are helping her through whatever season of life she is going through at that particular time.  After hearing this for the 1,000th time I finally decided to start my own.  Austin saw me writing out verses on my cards and placing them in a binder.  He asked why I was doing that.  So I told him that I was writing verses that I wanted to remember that would help me to speak the Word of God in the right situations.  Austin loved the idea and asked if I would get him some cards.

I love his enthusiasm when it comes to God…he makes me try harder.

Boys Pumpkins

I have SOOOO many pictures to edit that I am just drowning.  I still have baseball pictures that need to be edited.  That is the goal for this week…get through all the pictures…..and clean my house.  But that is just an every week thing.

Today was Amanda’s daughters birthday party.  Austin and Brodie were both invited (cause we are all BFFs like that).  We had such a good time.  But it is so much work to do a birthday party of this magnitude that I was exhausted just being in the presence of it.  (Amanda already got MY lecture about it)

The best part for me was that my camera to got photograph things it rarely gets to…GIRL stuff.

Amanda was ready to party!

He only looks cute and innocent… (Day #14)

He sure looks cute and innocent...

Ever had a new puppy that just didn’t “get” the whole house training thing?  Ever cleaned up puppy poo off of carpet?  You know how annoying it can be then.

Ever had a two year old that poops on the carpet like a new puppy who just ate the trash?

Yea.

Downsizing Wish Explained… (Day #13)

house

When we lived in Plano we always said that we wanted a bigger house.  A little more room to spread out would have been great.  Jason then took a new job and I got pregnant with Evan.  Seemed like the perfect time to move into something bigger (and closer to new job).  The house we live in now is 1000 sq ft. bigger than our house in Plano.  I had visions of a cleaner more organized home with all the this space.

I found out that a bigger house, but means a bigger mess now spread out in a larger space to clean up.  We honestly don’t use half of the house on a daily basis.  Total waste.  So, Jason and I have discussed moving into a smaller house.  The problem is finding a smaller house in the areas we want to live in.  All these middle class people are like Jason and I used to be…wanting a big house.

For purely vain reasons I like my big house.  But, from a practical stand point, it just makes me tired….so tired.  And from another completely vain place let me say…the house has been painted since this picture was taken….old picture.  Just so you know…not that I care…but you know.

Day #12…More filler…

I have the laziest animals in the world.  First there are the dogs.  You would swear they are cats.  They sleep *most* of the day.  If they are not sleeping they are eating or occasionally chasing a tennis ball thrown by a random kid.

Then there are the cats. They act like cats too. In every bitchy way you can imagine. Cloe thinks that the crib belongs to her and that clean clothes are cat beds.

Mama Kitty (Callie) refused to have her picture taken for this blog post…as she is in a bitchy cat mood.

I promise to have a *real* post for tomorrow.
