I am REALLY trying to get our grocery bill back down to a reasonable level. I admit that lately I have been HORRID about not paying attention to the amount we are spending on groceries. I do use coupons, but only when I happen to see one that we normally would buy. I rarely look at store ads. These are all things I need to do better at. Do you have any other tricks? I am open to all ideas that do NOT involve shopping at 5 different stores. I refuse….
Any ideas?

I’m telling you, coupons are the way to go. One day when the big ones are at school and the little guys are napping hop on line and search FREE grocery coupons…you would be amazed at the coupons you find. Just print them up (they work at all stores) I’ve had grocery trips where I have saved more than I have spent!
I would say take all the ads to Walmart but we try to avoid that too:). Maybe make Monday morning Albertson’s day, and Wed after Bible Study Kroger day, and then do the rest of the shopping on Saturday at Market Street. Just buy the sales on the specific store day…gets you out of the house, saves money, and the kids get lots of free cookies:)
PS…MAKE A LIST:)
Ugh I have NO ideas! None at all, but I wish I did! I just wish I could get out of the grocery store ONCE for under a hundred bucks… is that at all possible?
We really only have Wal-Mart here in Northwest Arkansas for grocery shopping (no Kroger, no Albertson’s…nothing!) which is a real pain but probably saves us lots of money. =)
I have found that the fewer times I go shopping, the less I spend in general. That, of course, involves lots of planning ahead and storage space! (And since you have four boys who probably eat more than my three year old girl, that might not be as easy for you!)
