Clearly I missed my calling…

Posted on

At 7:30 am this morning Chase wanted to play outside.  In order to not have our neighbors completely irritated with us (more than usual anyway) I decided we better do something quiet.  He wanted to draw on the sidewalk.  He also wanted me to draw Spongebob and Patrick.

I totally rock at drawing:

My awesome hubby turned 33 25 on Friday.  He is seriously awesome in a so many ways.  Mostly because he makes me laugh.

Happy Birthday Jason!

Chase’s Worms…

Posted on

Chase is definitely ALL boy.  He loves anything dirty and slimy.  He loves finding small snakes in our yard.  Yes, snakes.  No they aren’t bad ones.

Chase wanted to find snakes…so he enlisted his daddy for help.

worm hunt

Nope, none to be found. We have had so much rain lately our yard is just mush. So Jason decided they would dig for worms in the flower beds (that have no flowers because I have three dogs and four boys).

EUREKA!! Found one.

Chase was very ready to show it to me. He had to make sure I got a picture of it.

Chase then put it on the dog house examination table for closer study.

“Look, Mom! When I roll it it wiggles.”

worm hunt 6

Uh oh. Rolled it too hard.

worm hunt 7

That’s OK. Brodie to the rescue. He will find Chase another one. Evan supervised.

worm hunt 8

“I fink dis one is dead too.”

worm hunt 9

“AUSTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN! Can you find me another one?”

worm hunt 10

Chase decided to treat this one a little more gently. Carrying it like a baby.

And then giving it a ride on his motorcycle. Worms like that, right?

worm hunt 12

Worm-y, as he is now called, seems to be enjoying the ride. Maybe a little breeze through his hair. Wait, do worms have hair?

worm hunt 13

“MOM, that’s enough pictures.” Have fun Worm-y!

Nov 2007 – holding HIS baby brother
Big brother

This little boy is our glue. He is the bridge between Austin, Brodie and Evan. He makes us laugh. He makes us want to pull our hair out in hand fulls. He makes my heart hurt with his sweetness (and then it goes away as he punches his brother right in the chest). He has made parenting EXCITING! I love him so much it makes me want to cry. Happy Birthday Chaser Bug.

The past two weeks…

Posted on

Well, what have we been up to the last few weeks?

After 9 years and 2 months of being a mother I had my first encounter with getting one of my children stitched up.  And of course it was my youngest.  The klutz of the group.

Stitches

Four stitches above his eye after falling down and hitting his head on a window sill.

Then we had Swine Break. Our school district closed down for a week due to one possible case of swine flu….I won’t get into the fact I think was a knee-jerk reaction and that they are all slightly insane. We decided to go visit our families since we had an unannounced break. It was lovely.

Then came Mother’s Day. Jason got me a beautiful necklace with all of the boys’ birthstones as well as my own. It was the most perfect gift he could have given me.

And now…Cuteness presented by the BIRTHDAY BOY!!! (more on that tomorrow)
