I seriously LOVE this kid. I mean I love all my kids. But you know what I mean.

Brodie is the one that in this season of life is the most like me. And that means we butt heads CONSTANTLY.

Brodie, please…stop acting like me for 5 minutes.

Thanks!

Girls Just Want to Have….SANGRIA!

Last weekend I did something that I haven’t done since high school…I had a slumber party. However, unlike my high school slumber parties this one was not chaperoned and it also was sponsored by Sangria.

I wanted a fun way to break in the new house. So Jason took all the kids out of town and my girlfriends and I had a blast.

Andie was there…

Andie stealing my move

She blatantly stole my trademarked move many times that evening. I am contemplating legal action.

Allie was there…

Allie always makes for a fun time. The girl has no verbal filter and I love it!

Donna was there…

Donna

Donna was the only one that didn’t spend the night. We forgive her of this sin because we love her so. Especially when she tells swamp rat stories…but that is for another time.

And no party at my house would be complete without Shana...

Shana

Shana is one of the few people in the world that never gets offended by me. She just knows better. Shana also liked my Sangria.

Sangria and Balderdash

However the next morning she realized that Sangria did not like her. She was NOT making this face in the morning.

Winning

For the record no one was drunk at this party. I feel the need to say this now. We drank, yes. But any next day hangover situations were purely caused by the fact that most of us do not respond well to sweet drinks….that is all I have to say about that.

We laughed A LOT! So much so that I could no longer take a good picture.

And then Andie did this and I had to kick her out of my house.

Andie UT

There is no UT gang signs allowed in my house.

OK maybe I let her stay.

All this to say, we had a blast. And I think we need to make this an annual thing. Next up, girls overnight trip to Canton this spring. I need to start saving bail money now.
